TEEVO - Rhapsody for Teenagers: DON'T DECEIVE YOURSELF - 12 May 2015

(Make Your Heart A Trustworthy Guide)

TO THE BIBLE:JAMES 1:26 TLB
"Anyone who says he is a Christian but doesn't control his sharp tongue is just fooling himself, and his religion isn't much."

LET'S TALK
In Matthew 13, the Lord Jesus described the of a man as a ground on which God's Word can be sown as a seed. The Bible also calls the human spirit the candle of the Lord (Proverbs 20:27); that's because God guides you through your spirit. However, if you speak words that are negative and contrary to God's Word consistently, your spirit will be deceived and will cease to be a trustworthy guide. Then you won't be able to tell the difference between the truth and a lie.
For example, a child of God who uses the language of failure, sickness and poverty, and says things like "I'm so sick and tired," or "I'm a loser," will deceive his spirit.
After a while, his spirit will be conditioned to accept these things, and it wil only be a matter of time before he ends up losing and living a life of defeat and sickness, because that's all his spirit has been processing. So sow the right words into your spirit; don't make your spirit believe things that aren't in line with God's Word. Only say what God says about you!
GO DEEPER

Proverbs 4:23, Proverbs 26: 18-19

PRAY
Dear Father, your Word is the only light that guides my spirit. I guard my tongue and say only those things that are in line with your word. As I do this, I know that my life is set on the right course everyday, Thank you for this, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

ACT
Study God's Word today and let faith arise in your heart, and speak the same things that God has said about you. That way , you'll easily be guided, and your spirit will be programmed for health, prosperity, success, and victory.
